Taking Care of Your Sexual Health

This article will help you understand the sexually transmitted disease Chlamydia. Caring for your sexual health I cannot stress enough how important it is to wear a condom. However if you do find that you have Chlamydia then there are a few Chlamydia treatments around.

Its full name is Chlamydia Trachomatis and although we have many mehotds available to treat Chlamydia you should make sure you get treated as soon as possible because the consequences are not very nice. It may not surprise you that Chlamydia is the most sexually transmitted disease in the United Stateds. this is likely the case for many other countries as well. People who have sex with many different people have increased chances of getting the disease.

Chlamydia is often accompanied by some other sexually transmitted diseases. For this reason you should ensure you get tested for all STDs incase you have got something else as well.

Turning our attention to women’s health it is true that half the female population will get Chlamydia by the time they are 30, so it should be a top priority to get tested even as a precaution. It is common that the infected person may not even notice the symptoms. Take care because if untreated Chlamydia will start to damage the ovaries, uterus and fallopian tubes ultimately making you infertile.

Many young women do not consider the very real situation of never being able to have children and only realise when it is too late. In general your reproductive abilities will not be checked when taking treatment for Chlamydia and it is only later discovered.

Astonishingly seventy five percent of women and half the men never display any outward symptoms of Chlamydia.

Chlamydia can be easily treated but you must make sure you have regular checkups so that the antibiotics will be effective. The antibiotics are essential even if you can’t feel or are not displaying any Chlamydia symptoms. If you suspect you may be pregnant ensure that you make your doctor aware of this so he can alter your treatment accordingly.
