Systemic Yeast Infection

Yeast infections are due to an increase in the number of Candida albicans yeast in the body and prefer to live in the dark, warm, moist areas such as the armpits, mouth, vagina, penis, and skin. When the yeast affects one or more of the systems of the human body, they are referred to as a systemic yeast infection. Even though the yeast can spread to any system in the body, it will generally inhabit the reproductive, digestive, and immune systems. Many of these systemic yeast infection are due to an over- use of antibiotics which are used to treat other types of infections.

More data coming out on the systemic yeast infection has led some to believe that it will become an epidemic. Studies of systemic yeast infections are fairly new to the medical community and will surely come up with new information on the illness.

Systemic yeast infection leads to a variety of other medical problems including chronic fatigue, allergies, chronic infections, and many others. They are also a major source of recurrent and chronic yeast infection conditions such as dandruff and vaginal yeast infections. Additional systemic yeast infection symptoms include arthritis, gout, chronic fatigue syndrome, high cholesterol, fibromyalgia, Crohn's disease, and irritable bowel syndrome. They are also associated with asthma, allergies, acid reflux disease, arteriosclerosis, psoriasis, eczema, roscea, hives, acne, dandruff, and depression. These diseases are often due to an unknown cause.

No one seems to be same from a systemic yeast infection since up to 80-90% of the population is estimated to be infected by one at some point in their lives. The misdiagnosis of many common diseases is due to the Candida albicans yeast being the underlying cause.

Treatment

If you have been diagnosed as having a systemic yeast infection, there are several steps that need to be taken in order to find a cure. The presence of Candida yeast can be confirmed by taking a blood test, stool sample test, or tissue sample test. A medical doctor might prescribe an intravenous dose of flucytosine or amphotericin if the test comes back positive. Other treatments may include the use of enzymes which will work specifically to help the body to return to its normal balance, thus combating the yeast. Removing the harmful yeasts and reestablishing the good probiotic bacteria is essential and can be performed by cleansing the toxins out of the body.

A medical doctor may need to change your diet, supplements, exercise program, diagnosis, and treatment if you think you may have a systemic yeast infection. The Candida yeast can actually multiply causing a larger problem since the use of antibiotics has no affect on them.

Many treatments taken orally for a systemic yeast infection must be prescribed by a doctor and are very effective. Among these oral treatments is a single dose of Diflucan, the most effective yeast infection treatment known today. A recent survey showed that nine out of ten sufferers were happy with the systemic yeast infection treatment.

Systemic yeast infection is usually a scondary infection that weakens the body's natural defenses against these microorganisms. A systemic yeast infection will often present with various symptoms and may even become life threatening.
