Learn About Dangerous Chemical Substances In Anti-aging Skin Products And Makeup

There is dangerous substances in anti-aging skin care treatments and makeup.

This is a frightening statement. Unfortunately it’s accurate. In the USA a variety of skincare products, antiaging products, makeup, individual and beauty treatments like soaps, hair shampoos, deodorants and toothpastes contain harmful chemical ingredients.

Many of these substances have not been tested for safety on people. Several result from the distillation of crude oil, which means that they are a petrochemical. Several of these happen to be linked to a variety of health issues. Some are even known to cause cancers.

It might amaze you that inside a country like ours a massive business like this puts dangerous chemical ingredients in it’s products and puts the health and safety of the people of the country at risk. Sadly it’s true.

Lots of the ingredients found in  several of these treatments like our antiaging skin products and a whole lot more are banned in Europe but they are permitted in our products in America.

The problem is so bad that there are organisations established to attempt to fight this proliferation of chemical ingredients in our personal products. Two of the better known would be the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics and Teens Turning Green. Both have web sites you can find on a quick Google search, and both highlight the possible dangers of utilizing so many of the every day products you probably have inside your bathroom right now.

The issue comes from the fact that our government will not make any real effort to control what goes into these products. The FDA is not forced to satisfy itself that the ingredients in these kinds of products are risk-free. And big enterprise being what it is if they are able to get away with it they will. These anti aging skin products and others produce many millions of dollars each year.

Organisations including the two I have described are fighting an extended uphill battle to attempt to reverse the problem. They are battling hard.

The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics is due to launch a 7 minute video about dangerous cosmetics highlighting the issue. They’ve already released a short teaser video clip however I anticipate the long version to be very revealing.
