This book is a follow-up to Crazy Love, which has kept Chan at the top of the bestseller list for quite some time. There are many similarities between the two books. Crazy Love preaches for us to dive head-over-heels into our relationship with God.

Forgotten God primarily deals with the Holy Spirit—yes, the one that could get you to jump up and dance while singing praise songs and to throw your hands towards the sky reaching with the very tips of your fingers in a frenzied attempt to either touch the heavens or grasp a little more of God’s love (try not to poke any tall people behind you in the eyes).

Chan wants us to realize the way we are praying to the Father, the Son, AND the Holy Spirit.

Our Father is God..K.A. God. The Son… well that’s Jesus. What is the Holy Spirit exactly? Chan believes we have forgotten—Do you?

As Jesus went up into heaven, He promised the Holy Spirit to us so that we could feel Him and in turn, be living witnesses of Christ. So has this spirit been sent yet, or have we just neglected it? Chan’s motivation behind this book is to help us better understand the Holy Spirit and to use this special gift we have been given.
