The primary chapter of this e book demolishes the argument that societies without God would be hellish, crime-ridden or whatever. Later in the e-book, he has discussions, or interviews, with many bizarre folks about their lives and the role of religion.

The Finish of Time: The Next Revolution in Physics by Julian Barbour. Barbour’s idea is that time does not likely exist. Just started it, but it seems to be very fascinating

Guide review 4
Foundations of Language: Mind, Which means, Grammar, Evolution by Ray Jackendoff. All about language; a technical introduction to linguistics for the motivated layperson. Fascinating. And anyone who thought all of the geeks had been studying math, physics and laptop science ought to have a look.

Simply began
Heaven’s Prisoners the second in James Lee Burke’s Dave Robichaux novels. I am only a few pages into this, so I can’t say a lot about it.

Book review 6 rereading The Final Continent by Terry Pratchett. The incompetent wizard Rincewind is stranded in a wierd land where there is no rain, lots of sheep, and everyone has odd methods of talking English. This is the Discworld, so it might probably’t actually be Australia, can it? Nonetheless, there’s lots of beer, so no worries.

And a few technical books for work.
