Both of our boys have very specific issues that we must deal with on a daily basis, including delay in learning to speak, lack of facial expressions, and walking on tip-toes.  However, we became increasingly more concerned with our youngest child, Toby.  It soon became apparent that, while both boys would benefit from chiropractic care, Toby needed extra attention.  Lately, he underwent a spell and was unable to communicate.  In addition, he also had several sensory issues.  Apprehension came into me and my husband and thought that we would get lost in touch with him.

Dr. McCowin advised us to look at making dietary modifications along with the weekly chiropractic treatments.  Gluten-free, wheat-free, dairy-free cookbooks now occupy our bookshelves.  We have studied nutritional supplements extensively and, with the doctor’s advice, have implemented them not only in Toby’s diet, but in the diets of our entire family, with positive results. 

Then, Toby’s teacher asked us to come in for a meeting after a few weeks of beginning Dr. McCowin’s treatment.  She asked us what kinds of changes had taken place at home, what we were doing differently, and let us know that she had seen positive results.  In fact, she pulled out a folder and showed us Toby’s recent class work in comparison to the work he was completing prior to beginning treatments.  We were impressed with the results although they were many subtle differences.
